Thanks to Friday being a National holiday in Luxembourg, I was able to dedicate three and a half days to driving a total of 1200km to get to the Alps and back home, and continuing the hike that I had started two years before, without having to take any additional days off work. This was also a test to see whether my knees had improved sufficiently to take the strain of doing all-day hikes, and whether my lightened and improved gear would be able to make enough of a difference.
